Antoine Juliens and his knowledge on stage

Graduate from the Institut des arts de la diffusion (Louvain-la-Neuve), recognised director, Antoine Juliens has been a lecturer at the EAC for five years; portrait of fulfilled a professor.

What are the salient moments in your professional path?

After my diploma in performing arts that launched my career, I can identify three salient moments: the first is the creation at Notre Dame de Paris of a theatrical oratorio (performance of a text written by Antoine Julien based on Claudel’s works) on the occasion of  Claudel’s death anniversary

And the other two…

In Viron, Southern Belgium, last August I reenacted an oratorio that gathered 500 participants on the occasion of the anniversary of a battle that killed 27000 people during War War I. Additionally, in Brittany, I have been reading sacred and profane texts every year for 6 years now, in the main abbey of the region.

How is your teaching experience at the EAC going?

I teach in the first three years of the cultural coordination programme; it fulfills me. I do my best to define my knowledge, to stage it in order to raise my young public’s awareness about the treasures of the European and international cultural heritage. In addition, I try to provide every means that may create feasible yet innovative projects; it seems to be working: the projects presented by third-year students are remarkable!”
